We have no pictures from today but it was a fun day. We started out really early and arrived at the park around 930am. It was already getting full. The weather was beautiful...unlike they forecasted...
An hour later we were taking Scott (his first time here) around some high technical area, when another group of riders turned the corner at the same time as us... with the path only a foot or so wider than the Big Bear, there wasn't a whole lot of room for us to go.
I was leading, so of course I got hit. Not by one but two of their riders.... wheels were up in the air, rims were bent, and the steering on the big bear is slightly off now, but no one was hurt. Luckily. Everyone was pretty apologetic...but secretly I blame them...
The park was really dry, in fact we've never seen it so dry before. But we did manage to come across two of the muddiest places in the park.
First, since I'm on the Big Bear, I get to go first at a water passing. I came to one I thought was just bit too mysterious, so I turned around and took off another way. Apparently Scott had other plans and buried the Suzuki in the water pretty good. I came back and found him standing on his machine. We tried to pull him out going forward and successfully succeeded in burying the Big Bear (with 4 wheel drive). I blame it all on Sean's bad directions. We pulled the Big Bear out with the Outlaw and then went around and pulled the Suzuki out backwards with the Big Bear. And found another way across.
The second muddy place we found was here: (but with out the trucks).
A bunch of ATV's were testing their skills at crossing it. Although already knowing this was a bad idea, I listened to Sean and attempting to cross. I got about 3/4 of the way through muddy soupy mess and the Big Bear once again got stuck. A guy with a winch came over and helped my out. Suggested I get my own winch.... Sean???
We got everything loaded and home before the rain actually came=a semi-successful day!!
How was your weekend??

Chad and I went to St. Helens Friday afternoon. We camped at BeaverTrail Campground and had a great time. We found out that certain townships allow you to ride your atv's on the shoulder of the road.
We hit the trail Friday evening for about 3 hours and found some new trails that we had not been on before.
Larry met up with us on Sat. morning and we had a blast climbing some great hills and running through the fire roads.
Yeah, as you would expect - Chad got us lost no less then 14 times but ALWAYS managed to find the way back.
Some of the highlights were me questioning Chads manhood when it came to a muck crossing only to get suck myself, and Super Larry rampaging though the woods knocking down trees.
We need to plan an outing with the whole group.
Glad the mounds trip ended without anyone getting hurt.
Greg--
When are you guys planning to go to Silver Lake?
Forgot to mention the shifter pedal got bent too, but Sean was able to bend it back and it worked for the rest of Saturday.
